This weekend it was Florence’s park’s 80th birthday. I love this place and any opportunity I get to walk through, I do. I especially love having a go of the zip wire on the way home from work, ha!
The park opened in 1934 after the land was presented to Oxford by Councillor F.E. Moss in memory of his sister Florence.
The current residents of the area got together to organise this wonderful event; full of music, food, children’s activities and even a dog show. Here’s a picture of some of the Florence park residents from days gone by.
The best part of the day for me (apart from the glorious sunshine) was the showcase of vintage Morris Minor cars – oh how I wish I owned one. Here are some of my pictures from the day:
