This weekend I attended the Heroes at Highclere event at Highclere Castle aka Downton Abbey. The event was organised to commemorate the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War and raise money for those suffering due to conflicts today. Help for Heroes and Oxfam were the charity beneficiaries.
I was working at the Oxfam Vintage Shop on site and had such a fun day with all the clothes. Meeting some lovely new people and seeing old friends.
There was lots of great stock – everything form vintage clothes to homewares. I was in heaven.
I tried on soooooo many clothes – and obviously bought a few bits.
I also had some time to chill out with my friends and had a lovely walk around the site to see the sights.
It was a wonderfully British day to remember all those people who lost their lives in World War One and raise money for charity.
