I met up with two uni friends to go and visit Bletchley Park, the home of British codebreaking.
The site is absolutely huge and we only got see about a quarter of it but there were lots of interactive games, videos and artefacts.
I think my favourite bit was the social history of all the people who worked at Bletchley Park, how they bonded and worked. I could not imagine working with people and then not being able to talk about your work day – but obviously they couldn’t as it was top secret code breaking!
I had a go at an interactive codebreaker spelling my name and learning about how they changed the reels and communicated.
Good news is that once you pay entry your ticket is valid for one year, so I think I’ll be heading back to discover the rest of the site.
