Vintage Oxford: What’s new in 2019

It’s 2019.

The start of a new year is always exciting – making plans, having a clear out and thinking about what might unfold over the year.

I can’t believe I finished university 10 years ago. All the 10 year challenge photos doing the rounds on social media are not helping either ha! Ten years ago I was just finishing my studies and looking for a job. I was living in Liverpool and didn’t really have a clue what to do.

Ten years on – I’m in Oxford, I can finally drive but do I still know what I want to do!? Some things don’t change. Last year I started a new job, which was all very exciting, doing some more digital things. I bought a new car and finally started saving for a house.

So far this year I’ve got a few plans up my sleeve. For now I’ve been doing lots of cooking, house and wardrobe cleaning a la Maria Kondo and trying to be a good saver (in between buying some new clothes – but in a sale so that’s ok!)

Have been buying a few new bits for my house as well. TK Maxx is a killer and as I’m a commuter now – next day delivery on Amazon and Argos is my best friend.

I’m looking forward to this year and hope you are too.
