I visited Blenheim Place this week and then went for a few drinks in Woodstock. I promised by boyfriend I wouldn’t go into a charity shop but as I walked past the British Red Cross, I couldn’t resist.
It’s quite a small shop with mainly women’s fashion, some homewares and a good selection of shoes and accessories. I picked out a pair of suede boots that were £6 but when I went to the till, they lovely lady said: “Everything’s half price you know?”
Well, as you can imagine that meant another snoop around the shop – Ben went to his usual section looking at the books and just shook his head!
The ladies in the shop were so friendly and good sales people. With everything I picked up I heard: “That’s nice, you should get that,” from behind the till.
I came away with the boots, an M&S wool mix jacket, a vintage pair of shoes with an amazing gold patterned heel and a yellow striped vintage dress.
There are lots more charity shops around Woodstock but I didn’t get a chance to go in them all so I’d love to go back soon for a chazza shop day out. The British Red Cross is definitely worth a visit – enough stock to route through and lots of great shoes.
