Charity Shop Snoop: Barnardo’s on Cowley Road

You can tell you’re an avid charity shopper when you notice that the shop’s lay out has changed. That’s one of the reasons I love the Barnardo’s on Cowley Road – the stock changes regularly, new sections are added and moved round to make it feel new.

I popped in on Saturday for a look around and come away with a tankard mug for my boyfriend. The Spring/Summer clothes are starting to appear and there was a great selection of shoes – but all high heels.

The vintage section is now at the front by the window, there wasn’t much stock but still some cool pieces. I liked this little tartan piece, the collar and buttons are so cute.

Next up, I wondered through the dress rail. There were some really unusual pieces like these kaftans.

The homewares section was full of weird and wonderful pieces, from vintage tea pots to children’s sets. This Barnardo’s always seems to have loads of glass bits as well.
