July is a great month – it’s my birthday, it’s my mum’s birthday and the sun always makes an appearance. I sentence my winter clothes to the back of the wardrobe and sort out a new selection ready for the heat. And a few staples for the rain, I live in the UK after all….
For my birthday I got some lovely presents, a balloon 🙂 and went for a meal at Door 74 on Cowley road, which was fantastic. I was so hungry I ordered far too much food – always the way.
I’ve also treated myself to some new vintage goodies from Emmaus Oxford. A summer floral dress with a lovely swirly skirt and a cute collar.
Now, as you read at the beginning of this blog I mentioned Winter clothes, back of the wardrobe… I’ll now have to make a bigger space as I purchased a full on wool winter coat. It’s a green & blue tweed mix and the designer is Rodex. I fell in love with it and although I wont get to wear it for quite a while, it was a great find. The inside lining is slightly torn by the sleeve but this can be easily fixed.
I also bought a DSLR camera (hence the fancy new pics), I’m really pleased with it and happy to buy it from a charity shop knowing the money will support the cause. Although my charity shop snooping will still involve my IPhone camera, I’m hoping to use this more and more on here.
What vintage pieces have you found lately?
